The Department of Physics was established in the year 1962, marking a significant milestone in the academic history of Dattajirao Kadam Arts, Science and Commerce College, Ichalkaranji. With a rich legacy spanning several decades, the department has played a pivotal role in fostering excellence in the field of physics education and research. Since its inception, the department has been committed to providing high-quality education, conducting research, and contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge. The faculty members, known for their expertise and dedication, have been instrumental in shaping the academic landscape of the department. Faculty members have published more than 34 research papers in national and international institutions and attended 50 conferences/seminars/symposia.

A small percentage of students hold positions at various levels and are employed at pivotal times in their fields while working overseas.
