Dear students, stakeholders, and well-wishers I welcome you to Dattajirao Kadam Arts, Science and Commerce College Ichalkaranji with pride. The College was established in 1962 by Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha, Kolhapur founded by Shikshanmaharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe with the motto “Dissemination of Education for Knowledge, Science and Culture”. Presently, the student strength of the college is 4000. The College stands for excellence and continuously sets high standards, the College is an alma mater that all alumni look back to with fond memories, and the College has given this Ichalkaranji city many distinguished personalities and leaders in diverse fields. Catering to more than 4000 students we feel proud to provide quality education by equipping our students with skills, confidence, and a positive approach with an all-round development. The college is relentlessly striving to perceive and maintain academic excellence at the same time encourages the students to participate in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The student-friendly environment at Dattajirao Kadam Arts, Science and Commerce College nurtures creativity, passion, resilience, and leadership qualities among students for the development of versatile personalities. Since its inception, the college offered B.A, B.Com and B.Sc. programmes. Today College offers many new courses and subjects. M.A.Hindi and Marathi started in 2007. The B.C.A. programme was introduced in 2008. "Diploma in Computer-based Textile Design" under the community college scheme was started in 2015. M.Sc. Botany was introduced in 2016. The college also offers several skill and career-oriented certificate courses. We have well-equipped Computer/IT and science Laboratories, classrooms, an Auditorium, a Library, Gymkhana, Sports, NSS, and NCC. Our Teachers are committed and dedicated to the development of the college by imparting their knowledge and playing the role of facilitator as well as role model to our students. The members of the non-teaching staff are highly dedicated with total commitment towards the achievement of our mission and goals. We aim to provide sufficient opportunities for each student to discover and understand themselves, and face and overcome challenges presented to them to make student life fulfilling and complete. In the past 54 years, Dattajirao Kadam Arts, Science & Commerce has grown not only in strength and size but also in levels of quality. Our College has been a hub of many activities of excellence and achievements both by students and staff. All these have been possible because of continuous guidance and support from our Hon. Executive President Shri Abhaykumarji Salunkhe, Secretary Mrs. Shubhangi Gawade, and the people of Ichalkaranji. With qualified, experienced, and dedicated teachers and enthusiastic, cooperative and dynamic students, the positive and active supporting administrative staff, and the very responsive parent we shall lead ourselves towards excellence.
